My name is Nathan and I am a physiotherapist with over 20 years of experience.
Early on in my career, I thought I was doing a good job at treating my patients, but I would often see the same problems come back again months or years later. Something was missing.
It wasn't until I suffered a serious ankle tendon injury myself that I realized I needed to rethink my approach.
I spent years studying different approaches to physical health and also applied what I had learned from studying kung fu. I came to the realization that every part of our body is involved in almost every function we do.
My injury was caused by other parts of my body not moving properly which put extra pressure on the tendon with every step. That little extra pressure added up over time until eventually it broke.
This experience taught me that unless I worked on the other areas of my body, I would never fully recover from my ankle injury and would still be at risk of having more problems.
From then on, I never treated people's injuries or problems in isolation. I always look at their whole body and how they do things to see how it affects the part that's sore.
Now I'm on a mission to spread the word. If more people knew how their body works and how to use it in day to day life, I'm adamant there would be less pain problems.
It's not going to solve everyone's issues of course but it might help some.
What about you? What brings you here?
